The paper submission deadline has been extended to March 14, 2011
The submission website will be closed at 0:01AM on March 15 of US west coast time (GMT 8:01AM, Beijing time 16:01PM). There will be no further extension. The title, authors, and abstract should all be finalized in this submission and no further revision is permitted.
However, the EasyChair website will permit changes to previously submitted papers until 0:01 on March 22, except for the title, authors and abstract. Please note that only papers submitted by the deadline can have this update permission. The EasyChair website will not permit new submissions after March 14.
For Japanese researchers who are affected by the earthquake, if they cannot submit before March 15, please contact the secretariat (icdar2011@gmail.com) for possible submission untile March 22.

Call for Papers
We are pleased to announce that the Eleventh International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR 2011), sponsored by the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) TC-10 (Graphics Recognition) and TC-11 (Reading Systems), will be held at Beijing Friendship Hotel, Beijing, China during September 18-21, 2011. ICDAR is an outstanding international forum for researchers and practitioners at all levels of experience for identifying, encouraging and exchanging ideas on the state-of-the-art in document analysis, understanding, retrieval, and performance evaluation, including various forms of multimedia documents. Author Guidelines
Manuscript length: 5 pages maximum. This is a strict limit for initial submission. During final submission of accepted papers, authors may purchase extra pages if they find it necessary to address the concerns of the reviewers.
Single blind reviewing: ICDAR 2011 follows a single-blind review process. Authors are required to include their names and affiliations in their papers as illustrated in the sample templates.

IAPR Ethical Requirements for Authors
The IAPR requires that all authors wishing to present a paper declare that:
- The paper is substantially original and that no paper substantially similar in content has been submitted or will be submitted to any other conference or journal during the ICDAR 2011 review period.
- The paper does not contain any plagiarism, and
- The paper will be presented by the author or a co-author in person.
The IAPR retains the right to eliminate any papers in violation of these requirements and to exclude the authors of such papers from future IAPR community activities.
The proceedings of ICDAR2011 will be published by the Conference Publishing Services (CPS). CPS reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference if the paper is not presented at the technical meeting.
