2. Land Map

Beijing Friendship Hotel has everything (conference rooms, hotels of different ranks, restaurants) in a big yard. This layout is beneficial for an academic conference: the delegates need not to walk a long distance but still enjoys the green yard. The map of Beijing Friendship Hotel is shown in Figure 2. In the yard, the Buildings No.1, No.2 and No.4 are hotels, the Friendship Palace and the Meeting Hall have big conference rooms, and the Buildings No.7 and No.8 have mid-size meeting rooms.

The main conference of ICDAR 2011 is to be held in the Friendship Palace (plenary sessions) and Building No. 7 (parallel sessions). The Doctoral Consortium and satellite workshops (except the J-MOCR-AND) are held in Building No.8. The workshop J-MOCR-AND and the tutorials are held in the Friendship Palace.
