Day 1 (14 Nov., 2010): Departure from Kolkata at 7 AM after breakfast; arrive Mayapur at 11.30 AM of the same day; check in the Guest House followed by lunch at 1 PM. Country boat ride on the river Ganga from 4 PM followed by visit to the Temple and attendance to the spectacular `ARTHI' performance by the devotees. Dinner at 8 PM.

 

Day 2 (15 Nov., 2010): Watching morning prayer at 7am followed by breakfast and tour of the ISKCON campus (feeding the Cows, Srila Prabhupada Pushpa Samadhi, 24 hrs. Kirtan) and departure for Kolkata at 11 AM after lunch. Arrival to Kolkata at 3:00 PM.

Mayapur, a serene and scenic place is located on the banks of the Ganges river, at the point of its confluence with the Jalangi, near Nabadwip, West Bengal, India, 130 Kms north of Kolkata (Calcutta). It takes approx 4 hours to reach Mayapur from the center of Kolkata, by road. This, a typical village of West Bengal, is also a renowned holy place. The ambiance and the environment offer rejuvenation to mind and body. Mayapur has significant touristic attractions, tranquil and picturesque on the banks of the river Ganga. Devotees of Lord Krishna consider this place at high reverence and it is the place where Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, considered as an incarnation of Lord Krishna, was born in 1486 AD.


The headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) have been located in Mayapur since the 1970s. There are many attractions in and around Mayapur.
